AgroEco® Coffee Welcomes Veracruz

“Moderate acidity…full body…earthen tone…” are just a few of the words used to describe CAN’s new addition to AgroEco® Coffee. At an event held on Monday, February 20, Santa Cruz Roasting Company cupped a sample of coffee from Las Altas Montañas de Veracruz.

Coffee Connections in Castroville, California

On Friday, February 17, during El Intercambio 2012, the coffee supply chain became a circle when Yadira Montenegro, from San Ramón, Nicaragua, and Clara Palma, from Veracruz, México, engaged with workers at the Green Mountain Coffee Roasting (GMCR) plant in Castroville, California.

CAN’s New Campus Coffee Initiative!

Currently, the UC Santa Cruz (UCSC) community can enjoy our delicious AgroEco® Coffee in dining halls and PERK Coffee Bars (note the CAN poster prominently displayed at the coffee bar!). To bring CAN’s vision for expanding its university relationship to other campuses, CAN staff led a 3-hour intensive workshop during the Real Food Challenge’s National Summit: Breaking Ground 2012.
