Initiatives

CAN launches initiatives to advance solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems in sustainability and conservation. Our researcher liaisons take a collaborative approach and engage farmer groups in the development of research questions. Using this approach, findings become directly useful to community members.

We also engage in action education. Students learn by doing and are inspired to take action for social and environmental justice.
