Friends of the Community Agroecology Network

FoCAN is a student-initiated, student-led community at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), that supports CAN’s mission of promoting rural livelihoods and sustainable food systems through action education and participatory action research.

FoCAN meets weekly on Tuesday nights from 6-8 pm in A-3 at the Sustainable Living Center in the Village at UCSC. Through community meals--which are free-- discussions, activities, and service learning opportunities, these weekly meetings create a community that fosters dialogue and experiential learning about the global food system and sustainability.
