El Intercambio 2012: February 13-22

4th Annual El Intercambio

Six of our partner communities in Mesoamerica are sending their action-education program coordinators to join with us to present a series of events designed to promote sustainable rural livelihoods and environments. Events will take place at the University of California Santa Cruz campus and in the greater Santa Cruz community. This year's El Intercambio is sponsored by:

Our goals include:

• International community building around the common goal of healthy food systems
• Promoting AgroEco® Coffee — and the story behind it
• Introducing the community to CAN’s Action Education opportunities

El Intercambio gives you an opportunity to:

• Learn how you participate in our International Field courses, including Alternative Spring Break in the Yucatan.
• Engage with students and community members to learn first hand about CAN’s work with its partner communities around sustainable coffee, food sovereignty, and more.
• Join an international network of students, organizations, businesses, and university groups committed to achieving social and environmental justice in international trade.
• Learn about our AgroEco® Tour in Nicaragua — and sign up!

Join us for a unique opportunity to engage in discussions of global trade and develop critical understanding of the issues surrounding healthy food systems.
